Featured course: Prehospital Trauma Life Support 10th EDITION

Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), now in its 10th Edition, is the gold standard and recognised around the world as the leading continuing education programme for prehospital emergency trauma care.
PHTLS is a two-day multidisciplinary course designed to increase trauma related knowledge and skills handling in frontline pre-hospital trauma care. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a certificate of completion and a wallet card recognising them as PHTLS providers for 4 years.

The course structure encompasses underpinning lectures, immersive ‘hands-on’ skills stations, and simulated trauma scenarios, covering a spectrum of vital topics:

  • Physiology of the human body relating to trauma
  • Kinematics
  • Scene assessment
  • Patient assessment
  • Haemorrhage control
  • Airway
  • Breathing, ventilation, and oxygenation
  • Circulation and shock
